Daniel Casoy

1951. Born in Buenos Aires. His parents were Juan Casoy and Lea Zarebski.
1969. Publication of Las raíces calientes (the hot roots) in the poetry collection of El Cheísmo, Editorial House, Ed. Néstor A. Sofía.
1974. Qualified as architect at the School of Architecture, Buenos Aires University (UBA).
1975. He designed the Edificio Rojo (the red building),
at 3166 República Árabe Siria Street, Buenos Aires, in collaboration with the architects Bekinschtein, Leyboff & Ladizesky. Its design pays tribute to the neighbouring building La Colorada (The Red House), designed by Regis Pigeon in 1911.
1979. Presentation of his first photographic exhibition: Brasilia,
at the Buenos Aires Communication and Art Centre (CAYC).
1983. Exhibition of his photographic series Positives and Negatives of La Boca at the Promotion Society of Punta del Este, Uruguay.
1984. Presentation of the photographic series Positives and Negatives of La Boca at the Jacques Martínez Gallery, Buenos Aires.
–Presentation of the album Fotopoema in the Books by Artists Exhibition at the Recoleta Cultural Centre, Buenos Aires.
1985. Residence in Rio de Janeiro.
1990. Presentation of Uma certa arquitetura carioca (A Certain Rio de Janeiro Architecture), a photographic collection illustrating a research done by Architect Luiz Paulo Conde, at the Rio de Janeiro Art and Culture Municipal Institute.
–Exhibition of El Muro (The Wall), a photographic collection at the Vermeer Graphic Gallery, Buenos Aires.
